The project to organize 8 seminars or workshops under the theme of “Doing Business with the EU” is funded by the Thailand-EC Cooperation Facility (TEC). The project started in 2008 and will be completed in 2010.
The objective of the Thailand-European Commission Co-operation Facility programme, is to provide a flexible and comprehensive tool to enhance the relationships between EU and Thailand on trade, investment and related matters, including:
1. Enhancing relationships between EU and Thailand on trade and investment and other related areas in order to
strengthen the economic partnerships;
2. Improving mutual understanding between EU and Thailand by encouraging better communications an dialogues
between the two regions;
3. Strengthening networking and mutual cooperation among EU and Thailand stakeholders;
4. Demonstrating the good intention of the EU to provide assistance in explaining its market access requirements
to the local business group;
5. Increasing the visibility of the European Union in Thailand.
Under theme of “Doing Business with the EU” a series of 8 seminars or workshops will be organized in accordance with the designated topics set by the Business Information Centre of the Delegation of the European Commission to Thailand with the aim to disseminating transparent and correct and up-to-date information on EU regulations and best practices to the relevant stakeholder, business community, academia, and policy makers in order to
1. Enhance better understanding among the local business communities on EU trade-related policies and regulations;
2. Facilitate good dialogue among private sector actors and experts;
3. Transfer knowledge on EU best practices to relevant Thai counterparts;
4. Build capacity of Thai private sector actors to cope with both EU existing and upcoming requirements.
